No Frills!

There's nothing fancy about DIFAGB, but what there is, is community!
A community of like minded instructors who can exchange information, help each other out, 
get rid of the lonely side of being an instructor by getting each other in the area to know who's who.

That typical "I understand and respect you" wave that we tend to give when we see other instructors out on the road,
but don't necessarily have a clue who you are waving to, let alone what their name is, whether they are an ADI/PDI
but just recognise the car, the top box and a face.

Other than that, you might never actually get to have a conversation with them.

DIFAGB, set up coffee mornings once a month to entice instructors to get to know each other, ask questions, especially for those that are new to the industry,
and generally create a social side for those who may never have had the opportunity prior to the group being set up.
Unfortunately, we ceased the coffee mornings after two years, as the demand for earning money seemed greater than a one hour social once a month and bit of down time.
This may come back in the future if requested and time permits, but for now we just stand as a Facebook group for local instructors.

The group currently stands with 125 members.
Some we do see, others we don't but it doesn't matter whether they are silent members or participate in conversations.

What is great about the group, is that everyone respects everyone else.
Unlike some of the other social media sites where the is so much anonymity, and disrespect to each other, we just don't tolerate it.
One warning and you are out of the group.
Since the group was created, only one member has ever been booted due to disrespect of other members.

The group has become a hub for swapping test dates amongst each other due to the huge backlogs, passing on relative information from NASP and the DVSA, ADINJC, DIA, Road safety groups etc, along with advertising local association events or course that may be taking place. 

In the future the areas covered may increase to cover a slightly wider area, but we don't want to push the group out too far as this may compromise the integrity of the group and what it was set up for.
