Double Mini roundabouts / Conjoined Roundabouts

Nothing technical about them, they are just two Mini roundabouts very close to each other.

The safest way to deal with them is Slowly.

The closer they are to each other the slower you need to go.

Some of these have a very limited line of sight for driver's into entry points which is why slow speed is paramount, in addition to the potential lack of sight, dependant on your approach and exit points there may be a considerably amount of steering that will be necessary. Going too fast will not allow you to get the necessary steering to navigate them safely.

Treat them same as you would a single
Mini Roundabout

• Treat in the same manner as you would a standard Mini-Roundabout
• Treat each roundabout as an individual roundabout (one at a time)
• MSPSGL ROUTINE
• Slow speed due to restricted space, and to allow for effective steering.
• Early and Late observations (speeders may drive straight over the painted circles)
• Correct signalling (don’t confuse other road users)
• If an exit signal cannot be given, steering, and making a safe traverse is considered more important than the signal.
• Saccadic Masking awareness. If you are unsure about Saccadic Masking click here
. As the junctions could set set at different angles, it is important that you have a good awareness to your surroundings. Cyclists and pedestrians along with      other vehicles may appear out of nowhere.
