Standard Roundabout with single or dual lane approaches.

Standard Roundabouts will have a raised section to that of the road's surface. This may be slightly raised on may obstruct the view of traffic on the opposite side of the roundabout.

They will also have either a single or Dual lane approach.

General guide for roundabouts.

1. You MUST always give way to traffic coming from your right.
2. Roundabouts with more than one approach lane, should be considered as having more than one traverse lane around the roundabout.
3. For safe travelling on roundabout, Lane Discipline is crucial.
4. Signalling to make other aware of your intentions with causing confusion.
5. When exiting a roundabout always ensure you are aware no one is alongside you. 
6. Slow approach speeds will make choosing whether to stop or continue on to the roundabout much easier.
7. On busy roundabout look out for Blockers.
8. Try and look for a vehicle you are going to follow onto the roundabout, rather than stopping and waiting for a gap to appear if possible.
