Are your skills and knowledge up to date?

Mentally, your knowledge needs to be at the top of its game!
You don't need to be physically fit like the people below, although it does help.
Being sat in a car daily is not good for your physical health.
It can lead to back and neck problems in the least, but other medical issues can arise
as well. Having a break between lessons is important, even if it's just a short walk to
keep your muscles active and your ability to remain mobile.
Getting into a habit of having a break, is as important as
supplying lessons to your pupils. If you don't allocate time for your own personal fitness
your health will suffer and in turn so will the quality of your lessons or the
possibility of you even being able to offer them.

How fit is your current knowledge?

When was the last time you picked up one of these?
And how up to date was it?

These books are your everyday go to books.

They should be part and parcel of your toolbox.
Even if you do not know the full information inside out, what you should know in the least is where to access the information from within them in very little time.
We can't possibly memorise every last detail from these books, but them more we read them and apply the rules from them, the more our brains will store that information, and over time, it gets set in stone in our brain.

But if you've not recently picked one up, or in the least read through one to know where to access the information, how will this look to a pupil when you are fumbling your way through one to give them an answer?

These books pretty much cover every subject you will need for the average learner driver, and the core skills to become a driving instructor. There are other that you can use if you get into advanced driving tuition, but without a doubt these are your bread and butter.

Have them to hand for every single lesson.
